PokéSurvivor Weather, biomes & map objects

Read weather modifiers, biome rotation and the cost of stopping for map rewards.

Weather changes both sides of a fight

Weather modifies damage by attack type, including enemy attacks. Look at the active attack rather than assuming the bonus follows your partner’s appearance. These multipliers are applied in addition to type matchups.

WeatherDamage modifiers
SunFire ×1.5 · Water ×0.5
RainWater ×1.5 · Electric ×1.2 · Fire ×0.5
SandstormRock / Ground / Steel ×1.3
SnowIce ×1.5
FogGhost / Fairy / Psychic ×1.3

Remember the four-minute rotation

The map cycles through Shady Forest, Crystal Cave and Ash Volcano every four minutes. Water slows movement and volcanic pools become lava. Do not assume a route through a pool has the same cost after the scenery changes. Rift arenas use their own conditions.

Check the return route before stopping

Altars provide a temporary power, springs offer healing, and locked chests require you to remain nearby. Choose a stopping point with an exit. Opening a chest is less useful when the approaching crowd leaves you no way to collect its rewards.
